牛槽里的狗
A Dog looking out forits afternoon nap jumped into the Manger of an Ox and lay there cosily upon the straw. But soon the Ox, returning from its afternoon work, came up to the Manger and wanted to eat some of the straw. The Dog in a rage, being awakened from its slumber, stood up and barked at the Ox, and whenever it came near attempted to biteit. At last the Ox had to give up the hope of getting at the straw, and went away muttering:
一只狗正预备睡个午觉，于是他跳进了一只公牛的食槽里，然后温馨地躺在里面的稻草上。但是不久公牛劳做回来，来到牛槽旁想食一些草。狗睡得正香，突然被吵醒了，怒形于色，于是站起来对着公牛一阵喊，公牛一靠近，狗就要咬它。最初，公牛不能不舍弃食草的念头，嘀咕着走开了：
